Sustainable consumption is good for the environment, people and the economy. But there are more social and economic benefits to both sustainable production and consumption. We can change the way we consume and produce goods to make it sustainable. This is necessary to avoid negative impacts on the climate, the environment and human health.
Buying less is always better for the environment than buying more. It is about achieving a high quality of life with fewer resources in line with the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 12 “Sustainable Consumption and Production”.
For us, this means that we proudly design and manufacture small-scale, high-quality steel and ceramic products in Sweden. Our products are of good Swedish quality and have short transportation routes.
Materials, production and care
Stålhetta’s products are shaped and manufactured in Västerbotten from high-quality steel. They are laser cut, shaped by hand and treated with appropriate surface treatment.
Rust reacts to high humidity in the first years in the garden
Products that have a rusty surface can, during the first few years, peel and stain the surface of the patio or tiles, for example. Place materials such as wood, ceramic or plastic under the screen and container. Oxidation will slow down if products are stored indoors in warmth and not exposed to moisture. In the unlikely event of surface rust, it is best to rinse with water and allow to dry. To be on the safe side! Make sure that, for example, candle holders have saucers or paws during the first period.
